How did you come to begin the journey of what is now Pretty In Pink Boutique?

We got started in 2004 when God called us to serve with joy the people of Middle Tennessee facing these afflictions. Support was scattered and unorganized then. It’s laughable to think about it now, but this started as a “part-time” thing for me when my daughter was born and I was looking for a new way to pursue my nursing career and be a mom. I thought I’d be helping 3 women every week and that would be about it. In typical fashion, God had much different plans than we did…

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

Simply helping people.

What do you do to encourage patients in your job?

I tell them we have seen thousands of women get through this and they will too! This is just an unpleasant pit stop on their road of life.

What do you do in your free time?

Not much free time to be had! But I like to walk! And my husband and I love to travel any chance we get.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

The team consists of a group of amazing people who are willing to jump in and help.

What do you do in your free time?

As a mother of two little kiddos… There is little to no free time. But when the kids are asleep, I enjoy staying up extra late to read a book or watch a spooky movie. Going to comedy shows, food fairs, and farmers’ markets

Tell us about your family.

We’re a family of four. Both kids are girls. We enjoy stuffing our faces with junk food, trying new candy, and watching Disney/Pixar movies. We enjoy dressing up for Halloween every year.

Where are you originally from?

Born in Louisiana, Raised in TN, and recently moved back from San Diego.

How did you come to work at Pretty in Pink Boutique?

I came to Pretty in Pink through Holly. I had previously worked at a doctor’s office that saw many newly diagnosed and reconstruction patients. I loved the connection I was able to make with them. Holly and Pam had an opportunity, and after speaking with them, it felt like such a great fit. Pretty in Pink does amazing work, and I am thankful to be a part of it and help our patients.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, you will find me with my family. I am fortunate to be surrounded by my whole family, and we love to get together and cook. I am also very close with my husband’s family – we travel and cruise together every chance we get. I call us the Core Four!

How did you come to work at Pretty In Pink Boutique?

I was scrolling through Facebook, on my lunch hour, at the pediatric clinic I was working at, and a pink add popped up for Pretty in Pink Boutique. The add was so well written that I had to apply. It just sounded like a place I would love to be a part of. Now here I am!!

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

My co-workers. From the moment I stepped through the front door, I was greeted with friendship.

It was a God thing, no other explanation.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

The patients; they are helping me as much as I am hopefully helping them. Being able to make someone feel whole again, is a blessing or llele.

What do you do to encourage patients in your job?

Listen to them, share with them, encourage them, and give them the time they need.

HALEY

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

I love being able to make an immediate positive impact on someone’s life. They could come in to see us and we can completely help restore their confidence by fitting them in prostheses and bras, or with compression patients, we could give them the education and garments for them to be able to manage their condition to the best of their abilities. In both cases, we can help our patients to live a better quality of life almost instantly.

Tell us about your family.

I have been married for 6 years now to my wonderful husband David. We have a miniature pinscher named Brody that is our baby! I have 3 sisters, and we are all 2 years apart. David and I are blessed with great and supportive families, and we spend as much with them as we can!

How did you come to work at Pretty In Pink Boutique?

I had been running a Wig Bank for our local After Breast Cancer and found out that PIPB planned to open a store here in Murfreesboro so I applied for the position.

How did you come to work at Pretty In Pink Boutique?

I think it was just destined. They needed a receptionist, and I needed work after the first year of the pandemic. The rest is God’s plan.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

I would have to say the ladies that I work with daily are my favorite thing about PIPB. I love my work family and they are all wonderful strong women. It has been so rewarding from day one!

Tell us about your family.

I have three sons who I absolutely love and adore! They make PIPB feel like a mini vacation. I take my role as a mom very seriously. I love being a mom to all boys…

How did you come to work at Pretty In Pink Boutique?

One person, Holly Sneed! I’ve been friends with Holly since 2004. She’s been telling me about how wonderful Pretty In Pink Boutique is and she asked me if I was ready to make the move. So April 2022 I leaped. I’m very glad I did!

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

My favorite thing is the environment. I truly believe that I will be encouraged to grow and develop past any of my own expectations.

What do you do to encourage patients in your job?

I hear “I didn’t even know this existed?” My response was, “Now you found us, we will always be with you”

How did you come to work at PIPB?

I needed a major change in my life and wanted to do something with more eternal value. I have definitely found what I was looking for.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

Every single lady here is so encouraging and supportive. I love how they encourage patients to be their best during a difficult diagnosis.

What do you do in your free time?

Spend time with my family. I am a new empty nester so just starting to figure out life after kids

I have an amazing husband, Chris, of over 23 years. I also have a fantastic son that just graduated and got married. Excited to see him find his way.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

I love the family atmosphere with my co-workers. Everyone is always willing to help out.

I love traveling to new places, going to concerts and festivals, and being outside (in the summer).

I am originally from a small town in Kansas but spent many years in Kansas City before moving to Nashville in 2020.

I am married to an amazing man. We have been married for 5 years. We have two wonderful children. They are his stepkids but he treats them like his own. Our daughter is 18 and our son is 16. We all love to spend time together on the weekends. Yes even at 16 and 18 they prefer to hang with us.

What’s your favorite thing about working here?

My favorite thing about working at Pretty In Pink Boutique is even though I work remote, the team always makes me feel right at home. PIPB is very much family and faith oriented. The love, motivation, and dedication to serve our patients is immeasurable.

What do you do to encourage patients in your job?

I’ve learned to always to connect with my patients on their level with compression, truth, and grace. Everyone has a testimony, but not everyone has someone to share it with. Listening to my patient’s journeys has blessed me more than they will ever know.
