We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer Perkins to the Pretty In Pink Boutique family as our new Chief Operating Officer! With her extensive background in healthcare leadership and her heart for serving others, Jennifer is the perfect addition to help lead Pretty In Pink Boutique into its next exciting chapter.
A Journey That Led Straight to Pretty In Pink Boutique
Jennifer’s connection to Pretty In Pink Boutique started long before her first official day. With a deep personal friendship with Pamela and Steven Ludwig – as well as the connection with Joshua Perkins, her husband and COO of sister company Compression Care – Jen has spent years getting to know the Pretty In Pink Boutique mission as well as manufacturers and distributors.
Jennifer has spent over 20 years in healthcare management, building a career focused on team development, program management, and improving patient care outcomes. Her professional experience spans leadership roles at state mental health agencies, healthcare call centers, and major organizations like UnitedHealthcare. Throughout her career, Jennifer has been driven by one guiding principle: putting people first — both patients and providers.
“Whether it’s a mental health patient struggling to make appointments because of housing insecurity, or a provider overwhelmed by systemic gaps, my work has always been about looking at the big picture and figuring out how we can make things better — for everyone involved,” Jennifer said.
A Mission That Hits Close to Home
Pretty In Pink Boutique’s mission resonates deeply with Jennifer — not just professionally, but personally.
“My grandmother had breast cancer, and while diabetes is what ultimately took her life, breast cancer was the spark that ignited the chain of health struggles. I saw firsthand how treatment impacts not just your health but your mental wellbeing, your confidence, your daily life,” she shared.
“What stands out to me about Pretty In Pink is how we treat every patient with compassion and respect. We help them feel like themselves again, whether that’s through a perfectly fitted wig or simply knowing they’re not alone.”
Jennifer is energized by the work the Pretty In Pink team does every day — the smiles she sees when patients leave feeling more confident and more cared for than when they arrived. “It might seem small in the grand scheme of cancer treatment, but restoring confidence makes a world of difference.”
Looking Ahead in Her New Role
Jennifer’s favorite quote, from Ellie in Disney’s Up, reflects her approach to both life and leadership:
“Exploring the unknown isn’t about the destination; it’s about the journey and who you become along the way.”
At Pretty In Pink Boutique, the journey is always about people — our patients, our team, and the communities we serve. With Jennifer Perkins now part of our leadership, we know the journey ahead is filled with even more compassion, innovation, and care.
Welcome to the family, Jen! We are so excited for what’s to come.
