Providing bra fittings for breast cancer patients is such a rewarding experience for our fitters. We have the pleasure of working with women at all stages of their journey to help as a guide and partner during an unimaginable time in their lives. It is our goal to make this process as easy for them as possible.
Haley, our Clinical Manager, reflects on some of her most memorable moments in the fitting room.
“My favorite moments are when I am able to do a fitting with a patient that has recently had surgery. They usually come in to the store very guarded and their whole world has been turned upside down because things as simple as getting dressed have now become stressful, and they feel like they will now have to change their whole wardrobe to cover up their recent surgery. When we step into that fitting room, it is a sweet place for the woman to feel safe with whatever emotions she may be having that day, and then change that for the better! By fitting them with the right bras and prosthesis, most women are amazed at how much like their old self they look and feel, and that they can wear those same cute tops they were wearing before. The fulfillment I get is indescribable from seeing that woman come in discouraged, to her leaving standing tall with a whole new confidence! It is truly amazing the difference that can be made with a simple fitting, and I am so thankful to be able to be a part of that process.” -Haley Tuck
